Teeth Tattoos and New Tattoo and Piercing Technology

If you think only your unbelievably expensive mobile phones and pricey lap tops undergo what they often refer to as “innovation,” think again. Even tattoos steal their share of that piece of progress.

I must add, though, that such tattoo technology improvements are not for the faint of heart. These tattoo photos won’t make you go blind, but a few may make you wonder how the subjects survived the process to tell the tale.

Gone are the days when tattoo designs and tattooing methods were confined to just printing permanent artistic whatnots all about the skin. Innovation is the word of the day, baby, and so this roundup will give it to you - regardless of whether you are strong enough to stomach these new techniques or not.

From your eyeball to your tongue, check out five of the tattoo industry’s new emerging technologies and locations.

Teeth Tattoos

Oh, and you thought it would be so scary. Nah. Relax. Teeth tattoos aren’t that bad, right? You sure do qualify even if you’re squeamish. A cute and cuddly Winnie-the-Pooh tattoo design would surely make your Grandma proud and happy.

Eyeball Tattoos

Okay, now this is the scary part - definitely not for amateurs. If you want to turn the white of your eye blue, then this is the procedure for you. In this photo, the tattoo is inked straight on the eyeball. Not exactly my idea of ideal blue eyes.

Jewel Eye

Sparkling eyes are what you’re after? Jewel Eye may be the solution. Jewel Eye is a controversial trend in the Netherlands which involves surgically implanting a jeweled design under the surface of the eye. You may go for four-leaf clovers, musical notes, stars, and everyone’s favorite: hearts.

Pierced Glasses

Tired of having to remove your glasses when you sleep or shower? (Well, that doesn’t really sound like a big problem, but some people might actually be bothered by that little inconvenience.) Here’s a weird solution for this problem, though I doubt many would even consider it.

The Pierced Glasses technique involves attaching a pair of glasses to a nose bridge piercing. This way, you can instantly roll on your side after reading a book without having to remove your glasses. Pretty convenient, isn’t it?

Tongue Tattoos

This is actually something that most of us may actually consider getting. Isn’t that ‘Mr. Smiley’ design just too cute? Hmmm. Now be sure you choose a partner with a ‘Mrs. Smiley’ tongue tat.

  1. Jake Says:

Tongue tattoos fade within weeks, teeth tatoos are simply just porcelain teeth with a design on them. Jewel eye is actually new technology, eyeball tattooing is not anything that most people could ever get, it’s so new and not safe yet, and the bridge piercing glasses? Not in production. One person has them.

    Stupid article.

    Fail

  2. Lindsay Says:

The eye glasses are actually a bar with magnets that hold the glasses in place.

[...] Now this one’s scary. I actually thought I was looking at one of those villains in a teen horror flick. What a minute, is he rockin’ the high-tech piercing glasses? [...]
